The author does a great job of describing how world class companies provide extraordinarily customer service. One of the things that sticks in my mind is that typically younger customer service personnel don’t typically fly first class, stay at 5 star hotels, or eat at top restaurants,so how can you just expect them to know what amazing customer service is about. Customer service requires an ongoing investment.

Where do I start? This book was amazing on all levels. It provided simple and yet profound strategies that will help any business up their game. If you're not doing a great job with the customer experience, get this book. If you're doing pretty good by your customers, still get the book. Either way you'll gain so many more nuggets and tools to use and build on providing the experience that your customer craves.

 I chose this text is instructional material for Ukrainian middle schoolers learning English. Let me list the things that made it attractive:1. It is short enough, at about 1000 Kindle locations, to cover in 8 weeks or so.2. It is relatively easy to read. The online Flesch-Kincaid reading difficulty analyzer puts it at about a fourth grade level. It contains about 1400 unique words, of which I have selected about 500 as target vocabulary. I expect my students already know about half of these words. The issue is that I don't know which half, so I make the list rather inclusive.3. It is at their intellectual level. Last year I taught Wayside School is Falling Down. It fully satisfies the readability criteria, but the subject matter is more appropriate to second or third graders than middle schoolers.4. It tells something of American history. They learn about American farming and mail-order brides, two topics with which Ukrainian children can somewhat identify. I had hoped it might lead to a discussion of sex roles in society, but these children have not shown interest. At 12 years old they are too young. American educators – take note. If the children want to remain children, let them!I'm trying an approach that I have not seen before. I am using video as a primary educational vehicle. I have prepared videos that show the text of the book in a column on the left, with translations of the vocabulary words and words that are needed for comprehension on the right. My hope is that by presenting them with the translations they can largely avoid getting tangled up with dictionaries. I read the text as it is displayed. I have broken the book out by chapters (there are 9) with a video for each of them, with the homework assignment included in the video. This ensures that they get the homework, and more than that, that they look at the video.I will be happy to share my materials with any foreign language teacher. Only about 10% of my preparation has been specific to the Ukrainian and Russian languages. My work could be adapted to other languages and teaching environments. The instructor would need to review my list of unique words to decide for themselves which constitute a target vocabulary. The instructor could easily record the narration themselves, personalizing the presentation, and of course make up their own homework.

My wife and I are, in a nod to 19th century family entertainment, reading all the Newbery award winners aloud. This is firmly in the middle of the pack. We liked it better than the somewhat similar "Caddie Woodlawn," but not so well as s9me stone cold classics like "From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler."This a worthy read, a charming read.

My third grade class wrote reviews of this book in class. The class voted and these were the top three:This book was about two children who lived with their father-two children who beeded a mother! The book was set in the 1900's on the plains. The father seperately needed a wife, so he put an ad in the newspaper. He got a replay! The lady's name was Sarah. She came from Maine and she was "Plain and Tall." Sarah wants to check the family out! Sarah was my favorite character, but I liked everyone. I liked Sarah because she loved animals and had her own mind-she was stubborn. I can relate to that. I liked this book because it was interesting; I had to know what would happen! I also liked this book because the children needed a mother and they got one. They had a bit to learn about the awesome ocean and Sarah had to learn about life on the plains. I would recommend this book to children in second through fifth grade and all the people who like old fashioned stuff. Finally, I would positively recommend this book to all the people who are interested in a heartwarming story.By BrookeThis book is about a family with a father, a daughter, and a son living on the prairie in the early 1900's. My favorite character in the book was Caleb because he would always make you laugh. I liked this book becasue it had a great setting, great characters, and great lines for characters to say. Believe it or not, I had never read this book. *Gasp* It was a sweet book about a pioneering family making it on the prairie. It's about community connections and family relationships. I am now on a mission to read the rest of the books in the series. I wish I had known about it when my kids were still younger.It also includes some classroom discussion ideas at the end, so it would be good for homeschool reading, or a classroom environment, as well.

This movie is one of my favorites. I can sit down and relax and enjoy watching a great family movie that makes me feel good! This movie has real life problems and the families involved respond in different ways. With all the blended families in our culture today I believe this film is very relevant. We all have "baggage" we bring into relationships, whether it's marrage, parenting, or friendship. I like it that there are no religious overtones here, it's simply a picture of life, and life well lived!

This book was required for my nursing school - BSN program. I feel the selection of books my program chose were all very informative, to the point and we used the books for the classes that required them. During nursing school most people do not know where their career will take them, there are so many options the RN has available, so building a strong foundation is essential to success in the field. Nursing books are not written to be entertaining they are for educational purpose only. This book definitely offered education. After you graduate school and chose a path then find the best reference book you can find and carry it with you until the day you retire. I always recommend the additional study guide to a book if one is available.

This is very convenient to have on hand if you need a quick review over a particular assessment. It is broken down by system and gives some examples of abnormal findings as well as common related nursing diagnoses. The last chapter has a complete head-to-toe assessment. This is much easier to carry around than a textbook. I wish I had found it during my first semester of nursing school, it would have helped out a lot more then. I don't use it a lot now, but I'm definitely holding on to it for quick reference.

This was a required book so I can’t speak to how it compares to others but this is a good size book and the content is well organized.

The full-size textbook was a required purchase. After I had the textbook in my hand, I HAD to buy this! It is an extremely valuable tool for beginning nurses to know what is WNL and what is not. Fit perfectly in the pocket of my uniform. But make sure you write your name legibly on the outside edge of the pages, because everyone else will want to get their hands on it!

Love this book. I'm not new to macros but it was a wonderful refresher and would be great for someone looking for more info in general. The recipes speak to me because they are simple, quick and accessible. Nothing complicated here!

This book has a ton of info that helps you understand what and how much nutrients you need on a daily basis. By following the plan in this book I am full of energy and satiated all day. I lost 5lbs the first week and haven’t lost anything since, but my size is shrinking and I feel better in general.

This was a great starter book for understanding Macros and definitely sparked my interest in learning more.

Book has tons of delicious macro friendly recipes (meaning not crazy on carbs or fat). If anybody wants to learn about macros (carbs, fat, protein) and their role in the body, they should read this book.

Was expecting more info on macro nutrition not meal planning.

Easy to understand. Does not demonize any particular food and makes it easy to understand how to calculate your macros. Fast read. A lot of recipes.

Wished it had photos! Other then that I've skimmed through and everything looks delicious!

Our entire family (five kids, ages 1y-10y) loves this book. The illustrations are perfectly captivating with plenty of detail and the book is beautifully written. It's wordy (which we love)... this is not a little storybook with a couple phrases or sentences on a page, but is thoughtfully and thoroughly written in lovely language. My boys AND girls appreciate this masterful story.

I have loved the illustrations of Trina Schart Hyman since I was child. Some years back I tried to buy this book, but it had gone out of print and the used copies were selling for $50.00. So, I was excited to see that it had been reissued.The story is based on one of the legends of King Arthur. It is about a young man who seeks favor with the King Arthur; he goes on a journey, faces many foes and yes saves a princess locked in a tower. However, the maiden in the tower does have a fiery sister which makes the story a bit less patriarchal. The pictures are the main attraction and they are beautiful. It is standard paperback book quality. I would not recommend it for children younger than 1st grade unless they have a decent attention span because there is quite a bit of text.

I absolutely love this book!! If you read this duo's version of St. George and the dragon, you'll love this. If you haven't read that, go and get that one too. I love Hodges' use of language; she is a master storyteller and Hyman's illustrations are stunning. The only negative thing is that I bought this as a gift for one of my children and now I have to wait to give it and share it with them!

The King Arthur stories are foundational stories to which all young children should be exposed. Unfortunately, some authors take the approach of compressing the many stories into one volume. This approach has the value of consistency but unfortunately strips out a lot of the meaning of the stories. A better approach is to take the individual stories and re-work them so that young children can understand them.The story of the "Kitchen Knight" is one of the best stories in the Arthurian cycle. Unforutnatley, it is also one of the stories with so much odd detail. Margeret Hodges does a beautiful job of boiling down the story to its essential parts. In addition, Trina Schart Hyman's wonderful illustrations add yet another level of pleasure to the story. Highly recommended.

This is a beloved favorite at our home. There is so much to love about it. We love the vivid text and the luscious illustrations. This will always have a place in our home library!

Not as good as Hodges's St. George and the Dragon, but a decent story and beautifully illustrated.

I would say that this story from Hodges and Hyman is an excellent classic, retold with vivid language and illustrated with unique scenes. The characters are layered with depth of feeling, and make this another of my favorites by a great team.

Not as curly as in the product photo. Worked out though, satisfied with it.

It is a good book, full of historical detail on helicopters that evolved into attack helicopters. For the uninformed, serial numbers on aircraft are important as they can be used to identify which aircraft we are talking about when spare parts are concerned. And, aircraft time is managed to ensure that the fleet is worn out in an even way instead of a few aircraft quickly using up its hours of structural life remaining before it has to be retired. That is why, unlike cars when we measure its quality service by how many miles it has travelled - a car that travels 100,000 miles and is well maintained is a cinch to easily surpass 200K or even 300K miles, we measure the longevity of an aircraft by how many flight hours it has accrued on its airframe structure. A fighter aircraft with 24 years of service will have at least 8,000 or more hours on its airframe which speaks well of its maintainers while an aircraft of the same age with 4,000 hours on its airframe will be a candidate for an update while the older aircraft will be retired. Book dates from 2010 and more information has surfaced for the author to consider doing an update using what he has shared in the current book with updated information on aircraft.

I've been a fan of Wayne Mutza's work for the last twenty-five years or so, ever since his first book for Squadron/Signal, and wasn't disappointed after reading his latest offering. While it can certainly stand on its own merits, this is a very welcome second-half to the study he began in 2009's "Gunships: The Story of Spooky, Shadow, Stinger and Spectre." It completes the picture of America's development of military aviation assets to fill the role of "low-and-slow" support of troops in the field, and again considers the effects of those developments on the militaries of other countries.As a modeler for over fifty years, the images I found here certainly got my mental juices flowing. So much of the material hasn't appeared in print before, which makes it all the more interesting in this day of indiscriminate Internet posting of oft-seen, and often short-linked, images. (Yes, the old guy is making a tangential argument for the relative permanence of print over pixels.)More important to me as a historian, however, is the wealth of information Wayne's managed to ferret out. For example, having been a student of Sikorsky's machines since grammar school, I was quite pleasantly surprised by the fresh light this book sheds on the post-Korea, pre-Vietnam efforts of the American military in concept, and the French forces in Algeria in practice. One of my uncles served with the UTTHCO unit based at Bien Hoa in the early 1960s, and I discovered facets of that unit's work that haven't been passed along to me despite our closeness. This is by no means an encyclopedic volume, but that's a big part of it's appeal: it's focused, just as the blurbs on the jacket promise, and delivers on the promise.Finally, as an author, I continue to be impressed by Wayne's ability to work within the sometimes stifling constraints placed on writers by their publishers. We're frequently set page, word-count, and image limitations which force us to leave much of the fruits of extensive (and expensive) research for another day. Despite this, in a series of books covering fixed- and fling-wing aviation, props and jets, fire equipment and the on-the-job experiences of firefighters, Wayne has always presented fresh material and insights through solid writing and careful choice of illustrations.Bottom line? If you're looking for an encyclopedia, go elsewhere. If you're a modeler looking for something perhaps a bit off the beaten track, a casual or serious student of American military aviation, or a writer/historian-wannabe hoping to find a goal to strive for, you'll be well served by digging into this title.

Helicopter Gunships: Deadly Weapon Systems is Vietnam helicopter crew chief Wayne Mutza's 21st book about aircraft of all kinds. It should come as no surprise to any of us that from the first introduction of helicopters to military service there had been an effort to provide these aircraft with weapons systems. This book covers all the helicopters that were armed with weapons by welding, strapping, bolting, or hanging weapons on them and the attack helicopters that were more often built around the weapons system.Mutza has done a meticulous and extensive job researching the history and development of the aircraft, weapons systems, and the combat operations of helicopter gunships including the ones we all know about and the ones that never made it to the units. He covers it all from the early studies of mounting a 20mm cannon in the nose of a Sikorsky R-5 to the Boeing AH-6i. The details of every prototype and every helicopter gunship that went into service for the US military branches as well as the foreign manufactured aircraft are presented.As always, my favorite part of a book like this is the pictures; some of which have been provided by VHPA members. Mutza has gathered an amazing collection of excellent photographs for this book; eye candy for every old helicopter pilot who would like to saddle up again. These photographs are well presented and arranged throughout the book in a way that is not too dense. I highly recommend this book; it is not some coffee table picture book, this is serious history and I think you'll enjoy the read.
