Iâ€™ve been waiting for I Hear The Sunspot: Limit Volume 1 for so long! I absolutely loved it ! Their relationship is slowly coming together, along with some new characters! I honestly canâ€™t wait for the next volume. More like I canâ€™t wait to sob some more lol-The manga did come in good condition, was slightly bend but not noticeable whatsoever and it wasnâ€™t covered in the plastic wrap like mangas usually do. So if you do like the mangas to be covered in the plastic wrap or not damage I recommend buying it in your local manga store! :) -

Obviously it was in great condition, and the manga is A M A Z I N G. Can't wait for the 4th one

It pains me to see this manga succumb to the MOST off-putting BL trope to ever exist.[spoilers ahead]I really love Taichi and Kouhei's relationship. So far, it's been super cute and adorable, but this "almost-sex" scene really left a bad taste in my mouth. Sure, Taichi was the one who took the initiative, but Kouhei should've stopped the minute Taichi asked him to do so because clearly he was still unsure about the whole thing.What a shame :(

This is such a sweet, sweet story! The entire series is just completely adorable and falls more under shoenen ai than Yaoi, so don't expect anything graphic (the volume does not arrive in plastic wrap!).Kohei and Taichi are adorable as always, and their story is alternately angsty and sweet, as we've come to expect with these two. It's great to see their relationship develop a bit more, but there's still a great deal of pining going on from both sides, and they both seem hesitant to take things a bit further.As always, the artwork is gorgeous, and the text is clear and easy to read.Overall, this is a sweet story which leaves you full of warm fuzzies and if you loved the previous volumes, you'll love this as well. I highly recommend it!

Despite the several negative reviews, I bought this book, hoping that the one five-star review might actually be right. However, after carefully reading through 6 chapters and browsing through the entire book, I had to agree with the negative reviews. There were no code examples on the website before Chapter 5 (the author claimed to have). The sample code for Chapter 9 Shell APIs - Launching Applications was a mess. It simply didn't realize most of the functions it claimed to be able to realize, and it had many errors (e.g., missing class modules). It seemed like the three examples in Chapter 9 were badly bundled together.There are a lot of unnecessary underscores (_ for continuation of code) in the code examples - seems to be an effort to make the book longer and sell for more money.In conclusion, this book is just an MSDN dump. And the used book price of around $3 to $4 accurately reflects it value.

This is by far the most useful book on the Win32 API I have encountered -- and the other developers in my department liked it so much, they immediately ordered copies for themselves.This book will be an invaluable quick reference for the novice and professional alike. It is written in a simple, concise style and contains many undocumented API functions which the reader will find immediately useful.However, it's not just a quick reference -- it provides a solid foundation for understanding how the API works and how to convert C data types to VB types.If I were stranded on a desert island and had to choose just one API book, this would be it.

Within a limited scope, this book does a decent job of covering simple API functions. A lot of it looks like a dump of the MSDN documentation, slightly cleaned up. There is some introductory discussion of general issues regarding API calling from VB.

Well this is an impressive book, I'm sure there are numerous really good reviews so I'll add something that might be a new observation, reading about British (and Irish) Counsel Roger Casement it reminded me that I read about him before and I looked up and found the story in Charles Mann book 1493 uncovering the new world Columbus created. It's always a thrill to find like a intellectual Easter egg especially if it's unexpected. One of the strengths of this book was how it introduced us to so many persons that are little noticed by history but had large impacts on the world, they came together to fight against one of the great crimes of the day King Leopold's rape and murderous rule of the Congo, they were rather successful over time although the guilty as is almost always the case in these types of crimes went largely unpunished accept for how they are view in history. Reverend William Sheppard sounds like an amazing man, so too with E. D. Morel, if it wasn't for this book I would know nothing of their stories. The difficulty of conducting this research when the main principals did everything they could to destroy the cover over there deeds, the remoteness of the area and the time period, makes it a miracle that this book could be written at all. Very glad I read it I've created a new shelf called Excellent History books just for books like this although their can't be many such books that reach this depth and understanding, it will always stand out in that shelf as a must read history book.

I bought this books about 8 Pontus ago but I read the last few weeks only and I think it was the perfect timing with what is going on in my life right now as I'm making big choices concerning my future right now. If I didn't read this book right I probably would have missed on what might just be my life goal and something I plan on focusing for a good part of my life once I get more ready for it. I know this is not much of a book review as of now but I just wanted to show how much the story of my people have affected me and how I really want to do something about all the suffering that have been going and keeps on happening now. I myself grew up in Kinshasa, my dad was an army colonel who fought against Mobutu in the 90's and had to flee the country for a few years because of that. This year (2017) I'm about tombe 18 and I surprised that it's only now that I get to know the story of my people and what that so-called King Léopold II have done. Throughout my read I came to decide that one day I want to be a change in my countries history too, a positive change, I want to be the African voice to change the Congo and make it one of the great countries. I know I sound a little too exited now and kind of dreaming but I'm still a kid so I guess it's okay right? One day hopefully once I do start making a change someone finds this "review" and call me out on it.

I bought this book on a whim while on vacation because it was a Kindle Daily Deal, and wound up finishing it in just three days. I have no real background in Africa, Belgium, or colonialism, but Hochschild does a phenomenal job of weaving together a compelling story that brings a forgotten and disgraceful era to life.The story is just incredible. Chronologically, Hochschild does a great job at tying together a complex story over decades and even centuries, beginning with tale of the European discovery of the Congo river and then honing in on Leopold's obsession with colonial expansion and the Congo specifically. He describes the casual brutality of Leopold's regime extremely effectively before skillfully introducing the figures in the movement that rose up to make the world aware of what was happening in Africa. Along the way, the author does a great job of putting the events into historical context and addressing likely counterarguments made be pro-Leopold sources (e.g. why there was outrage about the Congo specifically despite equally brutal colonial regimes elsewhere in Africa, the pre-existence of continental African slavery, etc). Hochschild does a great job of developing characters and presents a mountain of irrefutable evidence to back up his main arguments, all of which is done in an extremely engaging manner. The author's epilogue, written 10 years after the initial publication, is also even handed and insightful.If I have any complaint with the book, it's that the author sometimes makes leaps of judgement in the narrative that aren't necessary, especially when it comes to speculating whether certain characters in the story previously l crossed paths or allowed specific people/events to privately influence their decisions. The story is compelling enough without these speculations. He also (rightfully) demonizes Leopold and other figures in the regime, but spends less time characterizing anti-colonial figures whose backgrounds and personal lives are shady at best. While certain players are demonstrably more despicable than others, I felt that Hochschild could have been a little more even handed in describing the faults of his protagonists at times, if for nothing else than to appear more impartial as a narrator and derail his critics.Overall, the book is outstanding and I would recommend it to anybody looking for a fast paced story, context about the European scramble for Africa, or insight as to how Africa developed through the 20th century.

We love this series of books and have them for most of our current cameras (we are waiting for the one covering the Canon 7D II, but have them for our Canon 70D, Canon 6D and Canon SL1 - wish they had one for the Fujifilm X100S/T). They are small enough to carry with you but contain enough information and are easy enough to access when you hit that "how do I do that" question. Comprehensive and accurate, we love them. They tend to be difficult to get because they are printed/published in the UK, but they are worth the wait. Suitable for people that are somewhat familiar with photography and photographic principals, they are not beginners guides, more a guide for the more experienced photographer on how to get the most out of their new camera. Thoroughly recommended.

Wish I could remember 10% of the clearly written and illustrated information - heck even 5% :)

I am finding this book very helpful. I lost my instruction manual and didn't know which of the books to buy that would explain even more than the camera manual. This book is easy to understand and goes into detail beyond the basics

This book was really invaluable for my plant biology class. It's not always possible to get a good photo of your slides during lab so it's nice to have this to refer back to when studying for exams. Has all the parts clearly labeled and also has the specific life cycles of the plants and algae. I struggled with finding and remembering the correct structures and this was a very helpful resource for me. I originally thought it might not be worth purchasing but I'm very glad I did. Loose leaf kind of sucks of course but I popped it in a three ring binder so it's not that annoying. Very clear and easy to understand. Fun book just to have around.

We found this collection of images to be a good resource and study guide. And although it is not a bound-book in the traditional sense (it is a nice collection of finely detailed photos and drawings you can keep in a three-hole binder) I especially like it b'cuz it is easy to remove just single page to examine more closely - you dont have to carry an extra book around. This is more a supplemental study guide than a stand alone text. The images are beautiful and I'm Glad to have it!

I bought this book to compliment my lab manual from a different publisher. I liked this one much better than the manual that we were required to have as the pictures were much easier to study and the ease at which I could look up different phyla of plants made this book a five star in my mind.

Use it as I tutor students having difficulty in biology. Easy to understand.

This book opened my eyes to many aspects of the sex industry, starting with the very fact that most "women" being bought and sold are actually underage girls (some not even teenagers) who have been forced into selling sex, first by a need to survive, then usually by violent means by the person taking the money. Rachel Lloyd weaves her own story in and out of the stories of the many girls she has helped, also providing stats and research. She addresses the pain and victimization of these girls by their pimps, johns, police, and even society that does not see them as real people. Somehow, she manages to tell all of this and leave the reader with hope along with immense admiration for her and the girls she serves.

This book was tough read, but not due to lack of literary merit. It was difficult to read, because of the accounts of so many victimized girls and women right in the very U.S.A where we live. I stand firmly corrected that Sex Trafficking and CSEC (Commercially, Sexually, Exploited Children) is not a Thailand, India, Russia, etc issue. It is a human issue. Rachel Lloyd captures the anguish and torment of young girls in vivid details. I was moved to rage and commitment to take action. I will never be the same after reading this book. I highly recommend it for readings not just in an academic setting, but in churches, schools, or just personal knowledge and awareness.

This book will not only drive that point out of the park, but more importantly, it will help you to understand that it happens for a variety of reasons--and none of them are good.The worst part of the whole picture is what happens after the dollars have changed hands--and what happens to make the sale possible.For the ladies, I'm not one so I'm not sure what to say except maybe have your man read it--he needs to hear the message. Internet pornography is pushing a tsunami whether you realize it or not. That's not what the books about, but that's where it's going without awareness. I think this book provides a great starting place to help make men more aware of how their actions could have a catastrophic impact on another human being and their family. If they look at pornography long enough, they will most likely act out--it's not harmless. If you suspect they watch it or you've caught them there's a pretty good chance it's happening more frequently than you realize. Google some statistics--men are hardwired for visual stimulation,and that's what can get them in trouble. Sorry for the rant, this is a book review--but that's my take on the issue.Rachel, thanks for helping me to understand. May God bless and keep the girls you've helped save and the ones that haven't been reached yet. If Big Boys don't cry then I'm not a Big Boy--I wept like a baby, so thanks for the commercial interruptions you built into the book that allowed me to stop crying long enough to finish the book. I love the humor in this, even though it is truthful.Some of the quotes are almost too good to be true but I wouldn't put it past anyone to not have said some crazy things.This is really enjoyable and easy/light read. A perfect coffee table book as well for any 20-something.

I've been wanting to practice European cooking for sometime, so I decided to start with Europe's first family, the Basques. This is a continent that takes pride in its sophisticated culinary tastes, and this cookbook shows that the Basques are no exception. The section on wild mushrooms alone demonstrates the refinement of Basque cuisine. The recipes are excellent (although they can be quite difficult), but I was most impressed by the author's prose apart from the recipes. This is one of the few cookbooks I've read that qualifies as good literature, and it deserves to be reviewed and appreciated as such. Moments of lyrical excellence shine through even in translation, and Sevilla should be commmended for crafting such a unique work. Its almost an anthropological study, but in the new style that shies away from dry exposition in favor of a more personal engagement. I recommend this book to cooks and readers alike.

Being of basque heritage myself I found this book to be informative and interesting. I am not very familiar with basque cuisine since there are very few basque restaurants worldwide so reading about it fulfills a need in me to know more about my ancestors' cultural history.

I haven't gotten to read it all yet. I was gathering Basque information for a display at our family reunion. We are of Basque descent.

I am fortunate enough to live very close to a brand new H-Mart. I'm convinced this is the best grocery chain in America due to their wide selection of fruits, veggies, and good cuts of meat. Only problem I had is a limited understanding on how to cook some of the more asian veggies and how to marinate the meats so I picked up this book.I like a cookbook that not only has straightforward recipes but also one that takes time to teach you technique and little bit about the culture and history behind the dishes. Korean Home Cooking has been very helpful, it's my new go to cookbook that I'm sure I'll continue to cook recipes from this book for many many years. Happy with the design and print quality as well.

After trying the food at Insa, the chef's korean restaurant in Brooklyn (Red Hook), I was excited to try out the recipes in this book. Everything I've made from the book so far have been authentic and delicious, unlike some of the other popular korean cooking sites, which have been hit or miss. I cannot recommend this book and the restaurant enough.

Our family lived in Pusan (or busan, depending on the map) SK for 3 1/2 years. One of the best things about living there was the food. We fell firmly in love with Korean food. So it's been exciting to see Korean Cuisine become more popular and there being cookbooks that fill the gap.Korean Home cooking is full of recipes that invoke the food memories of living in Korea, traditional and modern. One of our favorite places to eat was called Donkey Mexican chicken. We would get fried chicken like nothing ever served in Mexico LOL, sweet vinegar pickled radish, and a coleslaw with a pink dressing, we think maybe russian dressing. So I was thrilled to see the recipe for KFC, Korean Fried Chicken, that had the wonderful crisp batter, the amazing sauce, and hey, the pickled radish sitting right beside it (recipe also included) delicious!The mandu (dumpling) is especially good, with bean sprouts in the filling to give it that wonderful crunch. You can fry them, steam them, or use them in soup.The squid stir fry and the crispy shrimp recipes are both so good. The cooking times are perfect as is the balance of flavor., especially good when served with bean sprout salad on the side.The book starts with an explanation of ingredients which will be helpful if starting out with Korean cooking.The recipes are well laid out with ingredients listed, then directions. Beautiful pictures of the finished dishes, plus some recipes also have a pictorial of step by step directions. Don't be intimidated, a lot of the cooking techniques are reminiscent of most Asian recipes and the instructions will help you succeed as they are clear and concise and easy to follow.This is a beautifully laid out cookbook, full of flavorful recipes and great directions. And it tastes very authentic to what we ate in Korea. the city we lived in was not touristy, and the food was not made to western tastes. From street vendors to small two table places with grandma sleeping in the back behind a curtain, to fancy places, we ate everywhere and with Korean Home cooing I can replicate many of the dishes. This will be one of my favorites, along with Koreatown.I did deduct one star because the book is printed on the most glaring white paper and the ingredient list is printed in a different, smaller font than the directions. There was plenty of room to keep the ingredients in a larger font, but the glaring background paper is really annoying, the only flaw I've found in an otherwise terrific cookbook.

I added this book to my wishlist after seeing a post about it by Marisa McClellan (of Food In Jars), and boy am I glad I did! I received it for my birthday and we've marked and now made many of the banchan recipes and they are all AMAZING (and many even better as leftovers--such magic!). The recipe instructions are clear, easy to follow, and the proportions of everything are terrific (in addition to what we're used to seeing in cookbooks for a US audience, they list amounts in grams! and ml! and tablespoons of garlic instead of number of cloves!) They also say when to eat a dish right away, when to let it sit, and for how many days it will be good if you keep it for leftovers. There is everything to love about a cookbook that embraces the idea that you're going to have leftovers.As a family that has allergies and has to eat gluten-free, it's pretty hard to find a Korean restaurant that will work for us. But making it at home means we can sub tamari for soy sauce, etc., and enjoy some amazing food.For the recipes I've made so far, I had most of the ingredients in my kitchen already, and the few I didn't (like Perilla oil) were (as promised) very easily found in a local Korean supermarket. Tiny dried anchovies aren't anything we've ever eaten, but we love them with this sauce and the peanuts! And it's all I can do to keep from devouring the rest of the soy braised beef that's calling my name from the refrigerator...The many photos are not only beautiful but so helpful--like the omelet tutorial. And the photos of common ingredients are also great. It was super fun to look at them with my 7 year-old son and then notice the items themselves in the supermarket!We're looking forward to making our way through this book and exploring so many different dishes.

I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.I've tried the Soondubu Jigae and Galbi Jjim so far, both are very authentic. The Soondubu tastes even better than the ones at my local BCD Tofu House honestly. The Galbi Jjim taste slightly different from Maangchi's, but is also very good. Will be making more recipes in the future and report back.
