Reading Kathryn's Book was one of the best choices i made. I read this book along with Miracle Morning. Now I have my Morning routine with Cardio, quick 10 minute weight training, evening routine and part of my food routine automated. thank you Kathryn <3. I also included Affirmation, meditation, visualization in my morning routines. I always knew decision fatigue was what was messing me up and this book was the perfect one for me. I was looking for a book from another Kathryn jones - who had written a different book. I accidentally ended up buying this one. I have ready countless books on from 4 hour work week to a gazillion others, this one was a blessing i didn't expect. Thanks Again Kathryn. I wish you had a Audible book as well.

I have struggled my entire life with the basics of taking care of myself. On trips, in emergencies, and taking care of other I was far more relaxed and less stressed. This book explains why. I use the sleep cycle app and my pulse is down when I get up because I’m not stressed. The morning is not something I dread. It’s actually a time I enjoy now which I thought I would never say because I always thought I was a night person. This is a review given 6 months later. The book may not be a great example of prose but it has invaluable information to a person struggling with the basics of life.I don’t buy self help books usually, but I did because the sample was so helpful. Try the sample.

I’ve read dozens of self-help books on time management, goal setting and habit forming but this one takes the cake.The author is hilarious in her delivery but very, very practical. Who would’ve thought you could program your life? This is essentially how that author tackles, wasting time, decision fatigue and willpower.Ms Jones uses the principles of computer programming as a way to develop step by step strategies that enable you to take charge of your life. Instead of taking 28 days to formulate a habit, you can “automate” all your daily routines in just matter of days! It’s a very easy, very enjoyable read and really makes lots of sense.I look forward to availing myself of the author’s additional tools to automate and simplify different areas of my life.

Seems like a small thing, but it really is huge.Kathryn (the author) goes meticulously step by step through the process of how to make this work. I was recommended this book by a friend and didn't think much of it. I put off reading it because I thought it was just another self help book. I've read lots of those, and most of them end up saying the same things about "believing in yourself." I have to admit, even after I started reading, I was pretty skeptical of all the promises she made in the intro. But I am here to tell you that it works 100%. Seriously! This isn't just another one of those feel-good, dime-a-dozen habit books. This is a real-life, practical application for how to make every single day better starting immediately. If you'll follow each step and are willing to put a little extra work into your morning/evening/meal routine for just a couple days, within a much quicker time than you'd expect it becomes second nature.Your mind can be on other, more important things. The psychological value of starting every day in a perfectly successful way is huge. Every day becomes more productive, and if you do it right every day can move you just a little closer to your dreams. That's what we all want, right?The best part is that she doesn't tell you what to include in your routine, it's all up to you. I now have created time (in the midst of sometimes 12-hour work days) to read every day, eat healthy, volunteer for a campaign, and create a deeper relationship with my wife, all because of the little bit of effort I put in to read this book, follow the steps, and automate my routines!Kathryn's writing style is also awesome! I finished this book feeling like she and I were good friends, and I really do hope to meet her some day, maybe set her up with one of my awesome friends. That's how much I enjoyed reading this book. Knowing what I know now about how much this changed my life, I'd pay $50 for it, maybe more.

Love this book! I zipped through it the first time to understand the basic principles and have gone through it a second time, going through the exercises and creating my own automated routines. While what Kathryn shares isn't ground-breaking, it's laid out in an easy-to-understand way that makes implementing a piece of cake. While I've always been a big believer in creating processes, I've never approached my daily routines in the same way, but I can see the value in doing just that.

Alas, the Tavern on the Green is no more, but for those of us who would like to see what it was like, this book is for you. The pictures are great. Even friends from New York, came to my house and read it in the evening. That should tell it all. There are recipes in there, too, if one is fond of recreating an evening to remember at the dinner table. People who enjoy cooking would enjoy getting this book, perhaps for a gift to add to their library.

This book outlines the history of this great New York landmark in addition to the characters that made the restaurant special and charming. The recipes allow you to recreate the same dishes at home. This book will forever be in my collection and makes a great gift for anyone who is a collector of fine cook books.

The photos were fabulous ! It brought back wonderful memories for me, so I bought it for my sister as well. She loved it ! …such great memories of New York, the restaurant, and the best recipes ever….It's not easy to modify restaurant recipes to family size ones and have them taste exactly the same. It was lovely that the family mentioned the history behind the restaurant as well. I have tried many of the recipes and they were as great as I had remembered which isn't easy. My family is from New England and the Crab Cakes recipe, is one of the best I have found. Bon Appetit !

I live diagonally across the United States from NYC, but enjoyed dining at Tavern on the Green when I was in graduate school on the East Coast. I was sad to read that the restaurant had closed, and reveled in finding this lovely cookbook in the bookstore one day. OMG! After looking at it in the store, I just had to have it! So, raced home to order it through Amazon.I am a cookbook collector, and a traveling Foodie, who likes "clean" food (meaning no chemicals, hormones, antibiotics, etc.). I also am interested in historical cookbooks which capture an era's best dishes. This cookbook is what I call "solid", meaning that it is filled with recipes which allow one to cook cleanly with natural ingredients, recipes that all sound delicious, and which represent the Tavern on the Green's era with most everyone's favorite dishes. No odd dishes with hard-to-find ingredients.An added plus is that the recipes in the Tavern on the Green cookbook do not look hard to execute, and execute well. The recipes look fairly straightforward, and pretty healthy. This cookbook could easily become a family's favorite cookbook for great daily meals, special occasions and entertaining! A simple way to raise your family's standard of living, through culinary excellence!

I never had a chance to go to this restaurant, but after reading the book I feel as if I had been. I shall be ordering from these people again.

This book has numerous great recipes, numerous pictures, and a great history of the Tavern on the Green. I am very happy with the book.
