I'm still reading but I am loving the straight forward explanations of keto diets and how to eat a ketogenic diet without sacrificing my morals. All the other books I've found I feel like recommend eating so much cheese and meat, especially pigs. Things I'm not comfortable consuming.

I was pretty excited when I bought this book, but now it's just frustrating. The recipes simply don't work. And I am a pretty good cook! But if you follow these recipes, you'll be let down.

I would love to be able to give this bundle of cookbooks a better review, but there are SO MANY errors in the ingredient and Methods that I can't go beyond giving it one star. I am a fan of low carb vegan cooking, however I would be so afraid to make one of the recipes due to the apparent lack of editing. For example, the Jackfruit and Peanut Butter Dipping Bowls. Please refer to the photo I provided for the list of ingredients needed, then note the Method for cooking. No where in the ingredients is Cauliflower listed, however it's saying to add it in the Method. I have found so many of these errors it's ridiculous. Great job on providing a low carb vegan cookbook, however their editing leaves much to be desired. Don't waste your money on this.

One of the things I look for in nursing text books is whether or not they are a good reference text for nursing practice. The essential problem that comes up with nursing text books is that some of them can't actually be used in practice. When this is the case there is very little point to even purchasing a nursing text book or utilizing it, as instructors will expect you to utilize the text book for reference. Some of the problems that make this book a poor reference tool are very poor evidence based writing with a significant amount of outdated knowledge and poor use of medical terminology. The text reads more like a parenting book mixed with "What to Expect When you're Expecting". Not much extra information other than the small boxes that it has. Suffers from the "explain it in one sentence" problem with key information not receiving much explanation or pathology. Too much use of "flowery" language and terminology that is inappropriate for a nursing textbook. Talks down to the reader in ways that make it difficult to really understand the information without having to utilize another source. One has to parse through the text in sections to actually find the information it is trying to convey. Reference manuals should not have extraneous language that doesn't benefit the understanding of the actual materials. The text is written in terms of medical hand outs, not for professional use. I do appreciate that the text has accompaniments online, but the reading level for the text is so low that it detracts from the reader's ability to parse knowledge from the paragraphs.

Excelsior just updated their textbooks and started using this one in place of the Maternity/Peds book they had before. I was SO happy about this. This book is way better, and I haven't found any grammar or spelling errors yet. (The last book was so full of them that I refused to read it until they updated.) It also has better visual aids inside, and it can be used with The Point, which is one of my favorite things about it.

The book keeps repeating the same information over and over and... You get my point. Some of it is contradictory for example in chapter 12 it lists Colace as a pregnancy Class C drug but in Chapter 13 it says Colace is safe to take with no teratogenic effects throught pregnancy. I thought maybe it was me so I actually looked up both pages and read one with the other and it absolutely cotridicts itself. I believe the authors wrote more words to make themselves appear more scholarly. If they would have put down their pens for a minute the book would be half as thick. If you don't absolutely need it for class, don't buy it!!!!!!

Has several QSEN questions throughout the text that correlate with the chapter! Thorough key points listed at the end of the chapter! I rented the book so the code to log in for NCLEX review questions was already previously used 😭 but other than that great book!!

Yay for nursing school. I hope your professor doesn’t assign chapters 9-15 to be read in the matter of two days like ours did!

It is a testament to this book that I have bought it and read it twice. Years ago when it was newly written, and I had just finished reading it, I loaned it to someone who never returned it -- and now, years later, I purchased it again. I am about to purchase a third copy as a Christmas gift. It is a fascinating account of religious faith and way of life that is very foreign to most of us. Dr. Lehman worked very hard to treat his Amish and Mennonite patients in ways that were respectful of them and their beliefs. Having grown up in Ohio, I have often traveled in Amish country but I have learned much about the people with each reading of this book.

This book is packed full of interesting ways of the amish in the medical area. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have shared many of the stories with my friends, the book is very interesting.

Great book with lots of heartwarming stories. Also provides a peek into the ways of Amish way of life for those who are not familiar with it.Very interesting and well written. Just had to keep reading until I finished it!Medicine is a calling not a business in Dr. Lehman' world.. The way it used to be!

House Calls and Hitching Posts is a delightful book. Through the amazing stories of Dr. Lehman's practice among the Amish and Mennonites of Wayne County and surrounding area, you get an inside look at the close knit community that "Englishers" rarely see. Dr. Lehman finds that his medical school training has not prepared him for the practice he begins among the Amish as a country doctor. He must become flexible and learn the plain ways of people he will come to love. If you have an interest in the Amish, I highly recommend this book. It will make you laugh and cry. You won't want to put it down.

I was surprised at how inspiring this book was! I was bothered by several editorial errors (i.e., "aid" for "aide"), but the book is quite well written except for a few spots when it's hard to remember who's who. The saga itself seems to be almost impossible, too idyllic in retrospect and in the telling. But then I remember how my own father lived his life and believe this to be an honest representation of a man and his ability to respond to the needs around him. It's a quick read with a bonus of learning a little more about the ways of the Amish.

Dr. Lehman's story is an accurate glimpse into Amish life in Ohio, where he practiced medicine for many years. We know some Amish families who hold him in high regard and have also enjoyed the book so well written by Dorcas Hoover.

This book is wonderful--full of homey anecdotes and interesting happenings. This man and his family dedicated their lives to serving the Amish and have been richly rewarded by the community. Easy and beneficial reading. Loved it!

A very complete and well-organized guide to contemporary stage lighting practices. Lots of forms and particulars for both experienced and less experienced members of the craft.

This is a beautiful book on stage lighting. It'd clear, concise, and at least for me showed a systematic way to light for the stage.I learned a lot from it, and learned somethings that I knew but didn't know why.

If you are learning lighting design, then you need this book. It's a no-nonsense and very detailed how-to. I use it more as a handbook than anything else.

I bought this book as a Christmas gift for my son who started college this year for lighting tech/designer. Very informative and interesting book. Like the pictures.
