Little Pig runs to the bridge, remembers the rope Tiny gave him, and makes use of those knots he practiced. My boys (3 and 1.5) LOVE this book. I highly recommend it!

In this second Little Pig book, Little Pig isn’t big enough to join his older siblings at sailing camp. One of his brother’s gives him a rope to practice knot tying. That gets dull after a day. Happily, his grandparents come over and Poppy has been making a model ship. Little Pig helps him finish it and they sail it over and over again. Then on Saturday, the ship gets away from them and sails over a waterfall. Poppy and Little Pig try to catch it, but the current carries the ship away. Luckily, Little Pig has been practicing his knots and has the rope along in his pocket!Costello demonstrates how little ones can be too small for some experiences but just the right size to save the day. Throughout the book there is a jolliness to the days spent with a grandfather who is happy to dabble in the water again and again. As the water runs faster after the rain, the adventure begins. Costello beautifully has Little Pig do the rescuing even as Poppy supports him in his endeavors. This is a story where the little one is the true hero.The illustrations are immensely friendly. Costello combines sharp dark lines against flowing watercolors, making Little Pig and the other characters pop. Readers will notice that Little Pig has two grandfathers who visit, making this book a subtle LGBT-friendly read. As the days pass, Poppy’s shirts change color, marking the time in a floral way.A second win for Little Pig! Appropriate for ages 2-4.

One day, a gust of wind blew the boat into the current and headed straight for a waterfall! Will Poppy and Little Pig be able to reach the ship before it tumbles into the icy depths?I found this to be an enchanting read. I absolutely love the illustrations! I also like how the illustrations vary in style from page to page. Some are full page spreads while others feature a single image on a mostly white page. My favorite illustration is where Little Pig is teaching himself to tie knots. The comic book style spread really captured my attention.This story is a fantastic read for children ages 3 through 10. Children will fall in love with Little Pig and cheer him on through out the book. I cannot wait to see what adventure Little Pig will go on next!

My children and I are mildly obsessed with this new series. Little Pig is a darling character that many children will adore. As the youngest of five siblings, he is disappointed to be left behind as his older brothers and sisters attend sailing camp. Tiny, his oldest brother leaves him with a book of knots to practice while they are away and Little Pig’s grandfather builds him his own wooden boat to sail in a nearby stream. Each day the two enjoy playing with the boat until disaster strikes on Friday. The small boat disappears down a waterfall and both Little Pig and his grandfather run after it. Little Pig uses his knot-tying knowledge to loop a rope around the boat and pull it up to safety. When his siblings return, they celebrate Little Pig’s new boat and sail together as a family.The sequence of the boat floating down the river while the grandfather and Little Pig chase after provided the perfect amount of drama for my five-year-old. The charming watercolor illustrations make this sweet story come to life and add to the wholesome feel of the book. We also really enjoyed the first book in this series, Little Pig Joins the Band by David Hyde Costello (2011) and hope there are more adventures for Little Pig and his giant family.

The kind of book that lends itself to thoughtful conversations--about what's in the written text and what's implied only in the illustrations. This is literally the best $15 I spent in 2016. I had recently hired an Adwords consultant for $500 a month to run the Adwords for my small bookkeeping business. To my horror, one month into the process I discovered that one of the ads they had written used the word "booking" instead of "bookkeeping". This is an ad I had spent hundreds of dollars on.Needless to say, my confidence was dashed. So I started trying to educate myself on Adwords. I took courses on Lynda, read blogs, took classes on Udemy, you name it. Nothing gave me the kind of practical, comprehensive, step-by-step breakdown of the platform that I needed to confidently manage the platform on my own.Until now. Once I started reading this book, I could not put it down. I finished the book in two days, and it is HEAVILY annotated. I immediately found mistakes that my previous consultant had made in my Adwords account. Today I ran my first ads on my own, with no outside input. I feel confident about them.Don't waste time with other books and outside Adwords consultant. Buy this one, manage your account on your own.I'll update this review once my campaigns have been running a few months to see if this confidence remains down the road.

This book offers a fairly well organized, clearly written set of advice on what Google AdWords is, why it matters, and how to use it effectively. If you're completely overwhelmed by the idea of using AdWords, then this book might be for you. As someone who has worked through Google's (short, completely free) "Adwords Fundamentals" course, I didn't find it especially helpful. To be sure, though, I did pick up a few points of practical advice that might have justified the cost of the book. However...There is a lot of fluff. Almost completely blank pages. Stories about nephews. Pep talks. I would have preferred a slimmer, more to-the-point book that didn't insult my intelligence by masquerading as more than it actually is, which is a somewhat bloated "get rich, you can do it!" book by an author who never drops his sales act.

There are mixed feelings about Perry Marshall and some of his stuff. I bought this book as a total beginner, followed every step laid out, and now am running a successful campaign for Adwords. I'm already getting a 15% CTR. Even the Google people were impressed with how I set it up, and couldn't believe it was my first campaign.I've only been running my ads for a couple of weeks, and I'm A/B testing as Perry lays out, so I will be excited to see how my funnel converts.

This and Perry’s 80/20 Sales & Marketing are core books for any entrepreneurs marketing library.

If you want to attract traffic and clicks to your website via Google searches, this is THE bible to have in your toolbox! Don't pass up the free bonuses that come with this gem!! There is more information in this book that goes beyond just Google Ads. Knowledge of making your entire business a long-term success is inside!

This book has provided me with a wealth of knowledge on the subject of Adwords, I have struggled with Adwords in the past and wasted thousands of dollars on unprofitable campaigns but after reading this book I think my future Adwords campaigns will be much more effective and better optimized, the book also touches on other topics including writing effective sales copy, email marketing, and more, 5 stars.

To me Adwords is just like a big stock market, but instead of Stocks you buy Keywords. Everything I knew about Marketing previous to getting involved in SEM, was based on last semester of school. I took a Marketing class as a requirement for my Business Minor andthought it was silly and not really applicable to the real world. After four years of building software in a software development group I have moved over to the dark side. Yes, instead of worrying about user experience, and how well the site is working I now worry about cramming advertising on web pages, so I needed some background on marketing again.It can't be stated enough that Search Engine Marketing is not the same as Brand Advertising. This was the 2nd book I have read on the topic. The book will teach you Direct marketers set one goal from their ads: to compel a measurable response from their prospects. What better way to measure response than AdWords as it keeps track of everything expecially when tied to Google Analytics.I loved the example they gave in chapter 13 about the Wright Brothers. It is often the sidebars that made this book interesting. This book was packed with information without reading like a textbook, so the little stories I could tolerate. However,I never did understand the "Uncle Claude Sez segments", I could have done without those. Also, like many others I never did find the $85 Google Success toolkit. Overall this helped me run my Adwords campaign better. Also Perry's website is great if you get a chance to check it out. The Split testing tool is fantastic.
