About the Author
Flora Warren Seymour (1888–1948) was an attorney and writer who was the first woman member of the Board of Indian Commissioners. Flora Warren was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and received a BA from George Washington University. She was working for the United States government at the time of her marriage to George Steele Seymour in 1915, who was also a writer. With her husband, she helped found the Order of Bookfellows, and also published and edited the monthly magazine The Step-Ladder.

Great for those who are learning about those who are printed on coins and the history
These books are a wonderful way to teach history. So few people really know much about the history of our country. This is a great way to reach history in an interesting way!
Great book, just what was needed for my daughters report. I would have gave 5 stars if the book didn't arrive damaged!
My kids absolutely love the "Childhood of Famous Americans" series. The are "assigned" reading in our homeschool, but I don't really have to assign them. They pick them up all on their own!
Sacagawea was the latest book my granddaughter requested from the "Childhood of Famous Americans". She has at least twelve, loves them and enjoys asking us informative questions. How much better does it get: having fun learning about the history of our great country? This 5 star rating is based on feedback from previous ones: I haven't seen her lately.
